Until a few years ago, Glera was mainly known as ‘Prosecco’. It is a white wine grape variety used to make sparkling wine. Prosecco is a region located in Veneto in northwest Italy. Most Prosecco wines are meant to be enjoyed young and fresh. Pure and energised on the nose with gentle yet enticing citrus and flavours of sliced apple. Clean mineral finish with a light fizz. The palate has a lovely soft texture, mildly sweet with a touch of peach on the finish and great balance. Fresh and light. The grapes are harvested from hillside vineyards in the Veneto region.
