They like to call this ’liquid rye’. The purest expression of our ancient heritage rye, the grain is harvested, twice distilled and then rested in American Oak to bring out its best characteristics. The Oxford Rye has an intoxicating aroma of sandalwood and vanilla, whilst on the palate the delicate flavour of creamy praline, nuts and sourdough is followed by a finish of cloves, nutmeg and smooth spice.As with everything at The Oxford Artisan Distillery, the Oxford Rye is distilled from their organic ancient heritage grains, grown just for them in the English countryside. Eschewing pesticides and chemical fertilisers all of their crops are grown sustainably, contributing to an abundance of wildflowers, insects and birds across their farms.
