The latest release of Bollinger PN is made from 100% Pinot Noir, predominantly from the Verzenay terroir and based on the 2016 vintage - hence PNVZ 16. Bold, complex and a fantastic showcase of the grape. In fact, what’s most remarkable about this wine is that its aromas are reminiscent of a still Pinot Noir red wine, with a scented, cherry-like opening, before developing layers of stone fruit and then biscuity lees notes that are more typical of a Pinot-dominant Champagne. With its fine mousse, this has the elegance typical of the Bollinger style, and emphasises their skill with Pinot Noir.Pinot Noir is the signature variety of the house and the main part of their famous Special Cuvée. It is for this reason that Bollinger launched the PN range with PN15, to showcase the variety from different parts of Champagne. PN16 is the second release.
